SS Material Grades

Stainless steel welded wire mesh is made from two main stainless steel grades: 304 and 316, both offering good corrosion resistance. Grade 304 is versatile and suitable for a wide range of applications, ss 316 containing molybdenum offers enhanced resistance to salt water and chemicals. The low carbon variants of SS 304L and 316L, offer improved weldability and minimize corrosion risk post-welding, 316L offers slightly better corrosion resistance than 304L.

Wire Diameter Options

Wire diameter of stainless steel welded wire mesh ranges from 0.5mm up to 8mm.

• For Fine Mesh: Wire from 0.025mm to 0.5mm, for fine mesh screens.
• For Medium Mesh: Wire 0.5mm to 3mm, for general fencing, guards, and shelving.
• For Heavy Duty Wire Mesh: Wire 3mm to 8mm, for reinforcement, heavy screens, and security barriers.

Mesh Sizes

Mesh spacing, or mesh size, can be 1x1mm to 100x100mm, suitable for various applications.

• Fine Mesh: 0.5×0.5mm to 1x1mm.
• Standard Mesh: 25x25mm, 50x50mm, 100x100mm, commonly used for architectural features, machine guards, and agricultural barriers.
• Large Mesh: Up to 200x200mm, used in construction for structural support, security fencing, and heavy-duty barriers.

Dimensions

Stainless steel welded wire mesh panels are available in sizes 1.2m x 2.4m and other sizes.

• Standard Sheet or Panel Sizes: 1.2m x 2.4m, 1.5m x 3m or customized sizes.
• Roll Sizes: Standard rolls length 30m, roll widths from 0.5m to 1.8m.

Finishes

Options include mill finish, polished, and paint coated.

• Mill Finish: Standard finish from the manufacturing process. Smooth with no additional finishing.
• Electro-Polished: Electro-polishing is a process used to smooth and enhance the corrosion resistance of the stainless steel.
• Powder Coating: Powder coating / paint for protective and decorative finish in colors.
