Wire Shelving Chrome Plated, Stainless Steel and Powder Coated for Warehouse Storage and Pallet

Metech Welded Mesh Inc. manufactures and exports Wire Mesh Shelving Panels for storing and organizing items within shelving units or racks in warehouses.

Wire mesh shelf is made of horizontal welded wire mesh panels with reinforced edges providing visibility, airflow, and strength to enhance the load capacity and durability of the shelving units.

Known also as Wire Storage Racks, or Wire Mesh Deck, our wire shelving units are designed to be lightweight and robust enough to support a broad range of items.

Features:
Open mesh structure with excellent visibility and ventilation;
Welded wire ensures strength for loading;
Adjustable shelving panels for storage efficiency and organization;
Can fit within shelving racks;
Designed with reinforced edges or additional supports for load-bearing capacity.

Materials:
Metallic materials for shelving products include:

  • Steel: Carbon steel, coated with zinc, chrome, or epoxy to prevent rust and corrosion.
  • Stainless Steel: For food storage.
  • Chrome-Plated Steel: Chrome plating adds a layer of protection against corrosion and a polished surface.
  • Epoxy-Coated Steel: Adding a layer of protection against rust and corrosion, better corrosion protection than galv. steel.

Quality Control Through Manufacturing Process

  • Material Selection: The process begins with the selection of the material, which is typically steel, stainless steel. The choice of material depends on the intended use and environment where the shelving will be placed.
  • Wire Drawing: The selected metal is drawn through dies to reduce its diameter to the desired thickness for the wire mesh. This process also increases the length of the metal while maintaining its cross-sectional area.
  • Wire Straightening and Cutting: The drawn wire is then straightened and cut into predetermined lengths suitable for the shelving design.
  • Forming: The cut wire pieces are shaped into the desired form. This involve bending the wires to create frames and supports for the shelving units.
  • Welding: The shaped wires are welded together to form the mesh pattern. For steel and stainless steel, spot welding is commonly used. This step is crucial for determining the shelf’s strength and load-bearing capacity.
  • Surface Treatment: After welding, the wire mesh shelves undergo surface treatment to enhance their durability and resistance to corrosion.
    Zinc Coating (Galvanizing): Applies a protective layer of zinc to steel or iron to prevent rust.
    Chrome Plating: Adds a thin layer of chrome to the surface for corrosion resistance and aesthetic appeal.
    Epoxy Coating: Applies an epoxy resin for enhanced corrosion resistance, often used in humid or wet environments.
    Powder Coating: Electrostatically applies a powder material that is then cured under heat to form a hard coating in various colors.
  • Assembly: Components such as posts, shelves, and any additional accessories are assembled to create the final wire mesh shelving unit. This involve the use of clips, screws, or welding, depending on the design and the need for adjustability.
  • Quality Control: Each shelving unit undergoes rigorous testing for stability, load capacity, and durability to ensure it meets the required standards.
  • Packaging and Shipping: Once approved, the shelving units are packaged securely to prevent damage during transportation and shipped to customers or retailers.

Shelving Panels Installation Tips

  • Assemble the Frame: Assemble the vertical posts and horizontal beams that form the frame. For modular shelving units, ensure the connectors are properly aligned and snapped or screwed in place.
  • Attach the Feet: For shelving unit with feet (stationary or casters), attach them to the bottom of the vertical posts. For units with casters, make sure casters are securely fastened.
  • Install the Shelves: Place the wire mesh shelves onto the frame at desired heights.
  • Level the Shelving: Make sure the shelving is perfectly horizontal. Adjust the feet / casters to achieve stability and levelness.
  • Weight Distribution Test: Ensure the shelfing racks are stable and the weight is evenly distributed.
  • Lock the Casters: For mobile shelving unit with casters, engage the locking mechanism on each caster to test the lock’s effectiveness.
  • Final Inspection: Final inspection to ensure all shelving components, no sharp edges or points.
