Product

Metech – Supplier of galvanized steel welded mesh, welded mesh fence and industrial welded wire products.

Galvanized Before Weld (GBW) Wire Mesh and Galvanized After Weld (GAW) Wire Mesh

Metech Welded Mesh Inc. produces full range of welded mesh rolls and panels. Welded wire mesh can be divided into GBW and GAW according to welding process before or after galvanizing of wire for welding. We supply Hot-Dipped Galvanized, Electro Galvanized, GBW and GAW.  We supply welded mesh of different welding process for different application requirements for strength, precision, cost-effectiveness, corrosion resistance.

Types Classified According to Welding Process

Welded wire mesh can be made into following types according to different galvanizing and welding process:

  • Pre-Galvanized: Wires are galvanized before welding. This method is cost-effective and suitable for moderate exposure environments but can leave welding spots uncoated.
  • Post-Galvanized: Welded wire mesh including the weld points, is galvanized after welding. This type of weld mesh provides superior protection against corrosion for harsh environmental conditions.
  • Galfan Coated: Zinc and aluminum coating is applied to wire mesh after welding, this type of weld mesh offer enhanced corrosion resistance compared to standard galvanized wire mesh.
  • PVC Coated: Galvanized after welded mesh is coated with PVC against corrosion, this type of welded mesh offers colored surface and improved durability.
GBW Wire Mesh

Galvanized Before Weld (GBW) Wire Mesh

Process: Wires are galvanized before being welded.
In manufacture of GBW wire mesh, the welding process can damage galvanizing at the weld spots, reducing durability compared to GAW process.
GBW wire mesh is typically less expensive than GAW wire mesh.
Applications: Fencing, construction reinforcing mesh, safety barrier, plant supports.

Galvanized After Weld Wire Mesh

Galvanized After Weld (GAW) Wire Mesh

Process: Wire mesh is welded, then galvanized thoroughly, all weld spots are corrosion protected.
Enhanced Durability: The post-weld galvanization covers wire mesh completely, significantly improving corrosion protection.
Used for heavy fencing enclosures, crabbing industry and infrastructure projects.
